After you have signed up with Actenzo, you will have to give access to our integration specialists so we can start configuring your feed.
In this guide we explain how to give Actenzo access to your Lightspeed web shop back end in three steps.
- Create a new user account in Lightspeed
Log in to your Lightspeed web shop. On the left menu in the back office, click Settings. Then click Users located in the GENERAL SETTINGS column:
Click Add a user located on the top right-hand side of the screen, enter the following user information and press Save.
- Activate the user with the right user permissions
The screen as displayed below will open after you have saved the new user account. In GENERAL, set the status to Approved. In PERMISSIONS, make sure “Full permissions” is enabled. Store these settings by clicking Save top right. Access is now arranged.
3. Create an API key for Actenzo
Actenzo connects with Lightspeed through an API connection. Only the user marked as “store owner” can create an API key. To do so:
On the left menu in the back office, click Settings > Store Settings > Developers.
Click New API key.
Enter Actenzo as name (title) for the API key and press Save.
Now make sure all the settings are as indicated in the screenshot below: select the switch to enable this API key, and select ALL checkboxes for the permissions.
Click Save.
Under DETAILS, the API key will display. Select Show to display the API secret.
You have now successfully created an API key and configured its permissions. You can now copy and paste the API key and secret and send them to admin.access@actenzo.com. We advise to send the key and the secret in two separate emails for security purposes.
FAQ
Q: In the sign-up portal I am asked to provide a password for the Actenzo user account, what should I fill in?
A: Just fill in a dummy password, this will not be used. The Actenzo integration team will set a password once you have created the user account as detailed above.
Q: Why do you need full permissions, and not just a part of the permissions?
A: To create an API connection between Lightspeed and Actenzo, we need to have full permissions since almost all data is accessible through the Lightspeed API. Of course we will only use access to create your connection, as outlined in our terms and conditions and privacy policy.
